Job summary

Tata Consultancy Services in Bengaluru is seeking an ETL Testing professional to analyze requirements, design and execute ETL test cases, and validate data movement into data warehouses. You will perform data quality checks, data reconciliation, and complex SQL validation across the ETL stack.

You will collaborate with ETL developers, business analysts, and stakeholders, ensuring adherence to data governance and quality standards throughout SDLC/Agile processes.

Qualifications

• Experience in ETL Testing and Data Warehouse Testing.
• Proficient in SQL queries for data validation.
• Experience with ETL tools such as Informatica, DataStage, Talend, SSIS.
• Strong knowledge of data warehousing concepts, star/snowflake schemas.
• Experience validating source-to-target mappings and transformations.
• Familiarity with defect management tools (JIRA, ALM, Azure DevOps).
• Understanding of SDLC, STLC, and Agile.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Good understanding of data warehousing concepts, star schema, snowflake schema, facts, and dimensions.
• Experience in validating source-to-target mappings and transformation logic.
• Knowledge of defect management tools such as JIRA, ALM, Azure DevOps.
• Understanding of SDLC, STLC, and Agile methodologies.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Cloud Data Platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP).
• Exposure to Big Data Testing (Hive, Spark, Hadoop).
• Knowledge of automation tools for ETL testing.
• Experience with BI reporting validation (Power BI, Tableau, Cognos).
