Job summary

Viraaj HR Solutions Private Limited is seeking an ETL Testing Analyst to validate data integrity across complex data pipelines. You will design and execute end-to-end test cases for ETL workflows, perform backend validation with SQL, and document outcomes for traceability.

You will collaborate with ETL developers, BI analysts, and data engineers to ensure data accuracy and robust pipeline performance for clients across BFSI, telecom, healthcare, and e-commerce sectors.

Qualifications

• Must possess strong SQL and ETL testing skills across data warehouses.
• Experience with data mapping, source-to-target validation, and defect logging.
• Ability to design and document comprehensive test cases and results.

Responsibilities

About The Opportunity

Role & Responsibilities

• Design and execute end-to-end test cases for ETL workflows—data extraction, transformation logic, and target loading into data warehouses or data marts.
• Validate data integrity, mapping accuracy, and business rule compliance across source-to-target systems (Oracle, SQL Server, Snowflake, Redshift).
• Perform backend validation using SQL queries to compare source and target data counts, aggregates, and transformations.
• Identify data anomalies, duplicates, truncations, or referential integrity issues and log bugs with clear repro steps.
• Collaborate with ETL developers, BI analysts, and data engineers to troubleshoot defects and improve pipeline robustness.
• Document test results, maintain traceability matrices, and ensure test coverage aligns with business requirements.
