Job summary

Viraaj HR Solutions Private Limited is hiring for an ETL Testing Analyst to design and execute end-to-end tests for ETL workflows. You will validate mapping accuracy, perform backend validation with SQL, and log defects with clear repro steps.

Collaborate with ETL developers and data engineers to improve data pipeline robustness, ensure test coverage, and document results for traceability and governance.

Qualifications

• Must-Have: SQL, ETL Testing, Data Warehousing, Test Case Design, Backend Validation, Defect Logging, Source-to-Target Mapping, Test Documentation.
• Preferred: Informatica, SSIS, QTP/UFT.

Responsibilities

• Design and execute end-to-end test cases for ETL workflows including data extraction, transformation, and loading into data warehouses or data marts.
• Validate data integrity, mapping accuracy, and business rule compliance across source-to-target systems (Oracle, SQL Server, Snowflake, Redshift).
• Perform backend validation using SQL queries to compare source and target data counts, aggregates, and transformations.
• Identify data anomalies, duplicates, truncations, or referential integrity issues and log bugs with clear repro steps.
• Collaborate with ETL developers, BI analysts, and data engineers to troubleshoot defects and improve pipeline robustness.
• Document test results, maintain traceability matrices, and ensure test coverage aligns with business requirements.
