Job summary

Siemens is seeking a Software Test Engineer in India to drive quality across the software development lifecycle. You will design test cases, execute tests, and collaborate with developers to deliver reliable software.

With 5–9 years of hands-on testing experience, you will participate in Agile ceremonies, document results, and support UAT. Exposure to Playwright is a plus, and you’ll be part of a global team across Pune, Bangalore, and Chennai.

Qualifications

• 5-9 years of dedicated experience in Manual Software Testing.
• Strong understanding of SDLC, STLC, and Agile/Scrum.
• Proven ability in test case design, execution, and defect management.
• Excellent stakeholder communication and coordination skills.
• Hands-on experience with defect tracking and project management tools such as Jira or Azure DevOps.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Analyzing software requirements and design comprehensive test cases to ensure thorough coverage.
• Executing various testing types, including Functional, Regression, System, Smoke, and Integration testing.
• Efficiently logging, tracking, and verifying defects using tools like Jira, collaborating closely with development teams for resolution.
• Communicating testing status, potential risks, issues, and overall quality metrics effectively to all stakeholders.
• Actively participating in Agile ceremonies, collaborating with developers, Business Analysts, and Product Owners to refine requirements and ensure quality throughout the development cycle.
• Preparing detailed test reports and provide essential support during User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
• Contributing to the continuous improvement of our Quality Assurance processes and methodologies.
• Leveraging your exposure to Playwright automation to enhance testing efficiency and coverage (a significant plus!).

• Proven ability in test case design, execution, and comprehensive defect management.
• Excellent stakeholder communication and coordination skills, with the ability to articulate technical details clearly.
• Hands‑on experience with defect tracking and project management tools such as Jira or Azure DevOps.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with a keen attention to detail.

Good To Have

• Practical experience or strong familiarity with Playwright automation.
• Proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Experience with API testing using tools like Postman.
• Familiarity with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and basic SQL queries.
