Job summary

NIQ Connect Technology in Chennai is seeking a Test Automation Engineer to join our team. You will lead automation development using Playwright/Selenium with Python and SQL, building scalable test frameworks and driving CI/CD integration.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure quality across UI, services, and backend, and help implement cloud and data technologies within Azure-based pipelines. Strong communication and problem solving are essential.

Qualifications

• 3–8 years of software engineering experience.
• UI and Services automation testing with Playwright/Selenium, Python, SQL, and cloud technologies.
• Testing all layers of web applications: frontend, services, and backend.
• Hands-on test automation and framework creation.
• Backend DB testing with PySpark/Python is a plus.
• Proficiency in Playwright, TestNG, Python, SQL, and Java.
• Ability to build and enhance UI/Service automation frameworks.
• Experience with UI and services functional validations.
• Strong SQL knowledge.
• Cloud technologies experience, preferably Azure.
• Performance testing knowledge (LoadRunner or JMeter) is a plus.
• DevOps tools: GitHub, Kubernetes, Jenkins, Docker.
• Retail domain experience is a plus.
• QA methodologies, lifecycle, and processes knowledge.
• Strong analytical and learning ability.
• Excellent English communication skills.

As a Test Automation Engineer specializing in JAVA/Python and Selenium, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our software products. • Develop, troubleshoot,debugand make application enhancements and create automation frameworkleveragingPlaywright/Selenium, Python, SQL as the core development languages

• Develop and build scalable automation frameworks and testsuites workingacross technologies.

• Develop documents andmaintaintest plans, procedures and scripts and perform well defined product level integration tests.

Qualifications

• 3-8Years of years of applicable software engineering experience

• Strong fundamentals with experience in UI and Services Automationtesting,Playwright/Selenium,Python, SQL, Databasetestingand Cloud technologies.

• Expertisetesting all layers of webapplication, including front end, Services andBackend -Testing.

• Hands on experience in Test Automation, Creating Automation framework, API microservice automation.

• Good to have experience in backend database testing withPyspark/Python.

• Strong technicalskillinPlaywright, TestNG, Python,SQLand JAVA.

• Should be able to create and enhance UI and Service Automation framework

• Must have experience in UI andServicesfunctional validations.

• Musthave SQL knowledge.

• Good to have experience in cloud technologies, preferably Microsoft Azure.

• Good to have experience in performance testing using Load Runner orJmeter.

• Must haveexperience with DevOpsTechnologiesas GIT Hub, Kubernetes, Jenkins, Docker.

• Good to have experience on retail Domain.
