As a Test Lead Automation Engineer specializing in Python and Selenium, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our software products. You will lead the development and implementation of automated test scripts using Python and Selenium, contributing to the enhancement of our testing processes and frameworks.
- Develop, troubleshoot, debug and enhance applications while creating an automation framework leveraging Python/Pyspark, Selenium, PlayWright and SQL as core development languages.
- Build scalable automation frameworks and test suites across multiple technologies.
- Generate and maintain test plans, procedures and scripts, and conduct well‑defined product‑level integration tests.
- Execute and debug automated test scripts using various technologies and tools.
- Perform manual testing across all functionalities as a precursor to automation.
- Collaborate closely with quality and development engineers to build, evolve, and maintain a scalable continuous build and deployment pipeline.
- Deploy application components using CI/CD pipelines.
- Create utilities for monitoring and automating repetitive functions.
- Work with Agile cross‑functional teams, including Operations, Infrastructure, and Tech Ops.
- Research and evaluate a variety of software products and development tools.
- Provide technical guidance and support to colleagues through code reviews, testing, and documentation.
- Design efficient data access RESTful APIs against relational databases, leveraging multiple first- and third‑party data sources.
- Automate and improve development and release processes.
- Identify technical problems and develop software updates and fixes.
- Collaborate with software developers and engineers to ensure development follows established processes.
- 6 to 10 years of applicable experience with Selenium Automation, Bigdata, Pyspark, and Oracle Technologies.
- Expertise testing all layers of web applications, including front end, services, and backend.
- Hands‑on experience in test automation, framework creation, and API microservice automation.
- Strong technical skills in Selenium, TestNG, Python, SQL, and Java.
- Solid understanding of software testing principles, methodologies, and best practices.
- Strong experience in Selenium UI Automation frameworks.
- Familiarity with continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines.
- In‑depth knowledge of QA methodologies, life cycle, and processes.
- Strong understanding of REST/HTTPS/SOAP and JSON.
- Good to have experience in the retail domain.
- Experience implementing CI/CD concepts using Jenkins.
- Strong object‑oriented design and coding skills.
- Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and learning skills.
- Excellent English communication skills, with the ability to interface across cross‑functional teams.
- Software development experience using Oracle and Python programming.
- Experience as a DevOps Engineer or similar role.
- Proficiency with Git and Git workflows.
- Working knowledge of databases and SQL.
- Experience with configuration management tools (Git, Jenkins, Bamboo).
- Experience in agile software development practices.
- Strong fundamentals in front‑ and back‑end object‑oriented programming, including proficiency in JavaScript.
- Experience designing and developing front‑end UIs.
- Familiarity with RESTful APIs and microservices architecture.
- Experience working with relational databases.
- Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field.
