Job summary

GSPANN Technologies, Inc. is seeking a Software QA Engineer to design and maintain automated testing frameworks and mentor teams on testing best practices.

You will develop automated tests with Selenium, Playwright, Appium, Cypress, and TestComplete, and integrate them into CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and GitHub Actions while ensuring quality across APIs, databases, and integrations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or related field.
• 6-10 years of software QA experience.
• Experience with TDD/BDD approaches.
• Hands-on automation using the listed tools.
• Experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins and GitHub Actions.
• Strong communication and writing test cases.

Responsibilities

• Design scalable test automation frameworks and define the overall automation strategy.
• Develop automated tests using Selenium, Playwright, Appium, Cypress, and TestComplete.
• Maintain and optimize existing automation frameworks to keep them reliable and efficient.
• Integrate automated tests within CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and GitHub Actions.
• Ensure product quality through API, database, integration, regression, smoke, and sanity testing.
• Build clear, well-documented test cases and procedures.
• Troubleshoot automation issues and resolve blockers.
• Manage code in Git, GitHub, Bitbucket, and Azure Repos with GitFlow and PRs.
• Lead and mentor team members on test automation practices and root-cause analysis.
• Collaborate within Scrum teams using Jira, Azure DevOps, and Zephyr.

Description

GSPANN is hiring a Software QA Engineer to design and maintain automated testing frameworks, focusing on reliable, high-quality software releases and mentoring teams on testing best practices.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Design scalable test automation frameworks and architecture, and define the overall automation strategy.
• Develop automated tests using tools such as Selenium, Playwright, Appium, Cypress, and TestComplete.
• Optimize and maintain existing automation frameworks to keep them reliable and efficient.
• Implement automated tests within CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and GitHub Actions.
• Ensure product quality through API, database, integration, regression, smoke, sanity, black-box, and white-box testing.
• Build clear, well-documented test cases and test procedures.
• Support teams by troubleshooting and debugging automation issues and resolving technical blockers.
• Manage code in Git, GitHub, Bitbucket, and Azure Repos using GitFlow branching, pull requests, code reviews, and merge conflict resolution.
• Lead and mentor team members on test automation practices and root-cause analysis.
• Collaborate within Scrum teams using Jira, Azure DevOps, and Zephyr to plan and track testing work.

Skills and Experience

• Hold a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline.
• Bring 6-10 years of software industry experience, including hands-on QA experience.
• Apply TDD and/or BDD approaches, along with Software Quality Assurance (SQA) processes and methodologies.
• Work with Scrum development practices and automation tools such as Selenium, Playwright, and TestComplete.
• Utilize Azure DevOps and Jira in daily testing work; knowledge of both is mandatory.
• Demonstrate excellent communication skills and experience writing test cases and test procedures.
• Work with databases such as Microsoft SQL Server, PostgreSQL, Oracle Database, and Snowflake, and API tools such as Postman and SoapUI, which is an advantage.
• Demonstrate critical thinking, problem-solving, decision-making, business analysis, and attention to detail as a self-organized professional.
• Bring experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 CRM, SAP, and Knowledge Management systems, which is an advantage.
