Job summary

Chandigarh University - HR Department is seeking a detail-oriented Software Test Engineer (QA) experienced in testing .NET-based web applications and .NET MAUI mobile apps. The ideal candidate should possess strong knowledge of manual and automated testing as well as experience with API testing and collaboration in CI/CD pipelines.

Responsibilities include designing test cases, performing regression and performance testing, and ensuring software quality before release.

Immediate joiners are preferred.

Qualifications

• Strong experience in Software Testing / QA methodologies.
• Hands-on experience in testing .NET MAUI or Xamarin mobile apps (Android & iOS).
• Good understanding of test automation tools.

Job description

We are looking for a detail-oriented Software Test Engineer (QA) with experience in testing .NET-based web applications and .NET MAUI mobile apps (Android & iOS). The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of manual and automated testing, along with a good understanding of application workflows, APIs, and performance testing.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and execute test cases, test plans, and test scenarios
• Perform manual and automated testing for .NET web applications and MAUI mobile apps
• Identify, report, and track bugs using standard tools
• Perform API testing (REST services) using tools like Postman or similar
• Conduct regression, functional, integration, and performance testing
• Collaborate with developers and product teams to understand requirements
• Ensure software quality, usability, and reliability before release
• Participate in CI/CD pipelines and support automated test integration

Required Skills

• Strong experience in Software Testing / QA methodologies
• Hands-on experience in testing .NET MAUI or Xamarin mobile apps (Android & iOS)
• Good understanding of test automation tools (e.g., Selenium, Appium, Playwright or similar)
• Experience with API testing (Postman, Swagger)
• Knowledge of SQL for database validation
• Familiarity with bug tracking tools (JIRA, Azure DevOps, etc.)

Good to Have

• Experience with automation frameworks in C#
• Knowledge of performance testing tools (JMeter, LoadRunner, etc.)
• Experience with CI/CD tools (Azure DevOps, Jenkins)
• Understanding of mobile testing tools and device/emulator testing
• Basic understanding of security testing
