Job summary

Fortinet Bengaluru is seeking a QA Automation Engineer focused on Web UI testing. The role emphasizes building robust automated test suites using Playwright, Selenium, Cypress, or WebDriverIO, with strong collaboration with product and development teams.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in Web UI testing with a strong emphasis on test automation.
• Hands-on experience with UI automation frameworks such as Playwright, Selenium, Cypress, or WebDriverIO.
• Good understanding of modern web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, browser behavior).
• Experience validating data flow between UI and backend, including input validation, persistence, and display.
• Working knowledge of API testing using tools such as Postman, RestAssured, or similar.
• Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git).
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a quality-first mindset.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, execute, and maintain automated test scripts for Web UI using Playwright, Selenium, Cypress, or WebDriverIO.
• Perform manual and functional testing to validate UI features, workflows, and edge cases.
• Validate form inputs and client-side/server-side validations; ensure correct data retrieval and display.
• Verify data persistence by testing UI data against backend systems or databases.
• Test end-to-end user flows across multiple pages and components; verify state changes and navigation.
• Collaborate with development and product teams to review requirements and acceptance criteria.
• Integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions) and monitor results.
• Log and track defects, work with developers towards resolution and closure.
• Contribute to functional, regression, and smoke test coverage with automation-first focus.
