Job summary

Comviva in Bengaluru seeks a senior QA automation engineer to design, develop, and maintain end-to-end automated test frameworks for Web, API, and Mobile apps. You will automate in-sprint stories, build reusable libraries, and enforce coding standards to ensure high-quality releases.

You will collaborate with Product, Engineering, and QA to troubleshoot defects, optimize CI/CD, and mentor junior teammates while driving AI-assisted improvements for efficiency and reliability.

Qualifications

• Experience in Web UI automation using Cypress with JavaScript/TypeScript.
• API test automation using Postman/Newman and/or REST Assured.
• Mobile test automation using Appium with Java.
• Strong understanding of automation framework design and test architecture.
• Expertise in test design techniques, boundary testing, negative testing, assertions, and test data management.
• Experience developing reusable automation components, utilities, and frameworks.
• CI/CD pipeline integration using Jenkins and/or GitLab CI.
• Experience with automated test reporting tools such as Allure, JUnit, or HTML Reports.
• Strong knowledge of Git version control, branching strategies, pull requests, and code reviews.
• Strong debugging and root cause analysis capabilities across application, API, network, and mobile layers.
• Understanding of SDLC, Agile methodologies, and quality engineering practices.

Responsibilities
