Job summary

Salesforce is seeking a Backend Software Engineer (MTS) to join our Software Engineering team. You will build components for distributed filesystems, contribute to a scalable SaaS cloud platform, and participate in code reviews and mentoring.

The role requires 4+ years of software development experience and strong Java/Python skills, plus experience with databases and cloud infrastructure (AWS/Azure/GCP). The position offers a hybrid work model in Bengaluru.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of software development experience.
• Mastery of programming language(s) and platforms.
• Deep knowledge of object-oriented programming and scripting languages: Java, Python.
• Strong SQL skills and experience with relational and non-relational databases (PostgreSQL / Trino).
• Experience developing SaaS products over public cloud infrastructure (AWS / Azure / GCP).
• Proven experience designing and developing distributed systems at scale.
• Proficiency in queues, locks, scheduling, event-driven architecture, and workload distribution.
• Deep understanding of relational and non-relational databases.
• Strong grasp of software development best practices with demonstrated leadership skills.

Your Impact

As a Backend Software Engineer, your responsibilities will include:
