Job summary

Google is seeking a Software Engineering Manager for YouTube Creator Assist in Bengaluru. You will lead a mid- to large-scale engineering team, drive software delivery across full-stack systems, and shape technical strategy while mentoring engineers.

You will collaborate with multiple teams across information retrieval, AI, and distributed systems, guiding architecture, code quality, and product direction at scale.

Minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 8 years of experience in software development.
• 2 years of experience with full stack development, across back-end (e.g., Java, Python, Go, C++ codebases) and front-end (e.g., JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML, CSS).
• 3 years of experience in a technical leadership role.
• 2 years of experience in a people management or team leadership role.

Preferred qualifications:

• Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or related technical field.
• 3 years of experience working in a complex, matrixed organization.
• Experience working with Machine Learning (ML) models, tuning precision/recall, Generative AI (GenAI) model quality.
