Job summary

About the role:

• Join the backend engineering team to develop and improve production systems supporting Enterpret's AI-driven platform.
• Work alongside experienced engineers on real product features, gaining responsibility for designing, implementing and maintaining backend components.

What you'll do:

• Participate in technical design discussions and contribute ideas about system architecture and implementation.
• Develop backend features from initial planning through implementation and production deployment, with engineering guidance.
• Build scalable backend components using AWS and serverless computing technologies.
• Create proof-of-concept implementations that connect backend services with AI capabilities, including model outputs and real-time inference.
• Collaborate with AI and backend engineers to understand how infrastructure supports AI features across the platform.
• Investigate bugs, unexpected behaviour and performance problems, then help make existing systems more reliable.
• Work with production data, practical engineering constraints and edge cases affecting real customers.

What we're looking for:

• Strong programming fundamentals and the ability to write code in at least one modern programming language.
• Good problem-solving, analytical thinking and debugging skills.
• Interest in distributed systems, cloud-based serverless architectures and AI-powered software products.
• Curiosity about how backend systems support AI workflows, from model training through live inference.
• Willingness to learn from engineering feedback, contribute ideas and take responsibility for assigned work.

Good to have:

• Previous contributions to open-source software projects.
• Practical experience developing backend applications or AI-related projects.

Eligibility:

• Currently pursuing a Computer Science or Engineering degree at a Tier 1 college.
• Must have completed at least one relevant internship involving software engineering, backend development or AI.
• Must be available to work in person at the Bengaluru office.
