Job summary

Enterpret is seeking interns to join our backend team, where you’ll learn quickly, own meaningful parts of the system, and ship features that power our AI-native platform. You’ll work closely with engineers on scalable services, data flows, and real-time inference in a fast-paced environment.

We value curiosity, accountability, and a hands-on approach. This internship offers mentorship, open-source collaboration, and a potential PPO based on performance.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a degree in Computer Science or Engineering from a Tier 1 college.
• Strong programming fundamentals in any modern language.
• At least one internship in backend/AI or related engineering role.
• Genuine interest in distributed systems, serverless computing, and AI-powered product features.
• Open-source contributions or backend/AI project experience are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Join system design discussions and contribute ideas.
• Take concepts from idea to production with guidance.
• Develop on serverless architectures using AWS for scalable backend components.
• Build proofs-of-concept for backend + AI feature integrations from model output to real-time inference.
• Collaborate closely with engineers building the AI-native platform.

What You'll Do

Our backend team is small but exceptionally strong, so you'll learn fast and get real ownership early, with experienced engineers alongside you the whole way. You'll get to build things from scratch and see how your systems hold up in the real world, with all its messy data, unexpected user behavior, and edge cases.

And when something breaks (it happens to all of us), you'll dig in with the team to make it faster and more resilient than before.

• Join our system design discussions: sit in on internal design and implementation conversations and contribute your ideas.
• Take ideas from concept to production: build real solutions with guidance, not just closing tickets off a backlog.
• Develop on serverless architectures using AWS, building scalable backend components that stand up to real-world use.
• Help build proof-of-concepts for new backend + AI feature integrations, from model output to real-time inference.
• Work closely with the engineers building our AI-native platform and learn how backend architecture supports AI features end to end.

What It Takes

• Onsite in Bangalore is a must-have: you're able and willing to work from our Bangalore office in person.
• Pursuing a degree in Computer Science or Engineering from a Tier 1 college.
• Strong programming fundamentals in any modern language.
• At least one prior internship in a relevant engineering or backend/AI role.
• Genuine interest in distributed systems, serverless computing, and AI-powered product features.
• Sharp problem-solving, debugging, and analytical skills, and an eagerness to learn how backend architecture supports AI from model training to real-time inference.
• Bonus: open-source contributions or backend/AI project experience.
