The Role
As an integration Developer, you will join our Workday Integrations team to design, develop, test, and implement various types of Workday integrations. The role requires interaction with other IT/HR team members, responding to requests and providing integration solutions. An agile, flexible approach to changing business requirements and deliverables is needed.
Responsibilities
- Analyze and translate business specifications and change requests into technical specifications.
- Collaborate on Workday integration requirements and design.
- Develop Workday integrations within the Workday architecture.
- Ensure integrations function as designed based on business requirements.
- Provide support for Workday inbound and outbound integration issues, and execute changes to existing integrations.
- Understand and follow defined integration/development standards and best practices.
- Ensure data security, privacy and data quality in integrations is maintained.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant technical field (Information Technology, Computer Science, Software, Engineering, or related discipline).
- 3 to 6 years of hands‑on experience as a Workday Integration Developer.
- Ability to collaborate with business and technology teams to create practical, robust and scalable solutions that meet business and technology goals.
- Workday certification is preferred.
Preferred Qualifications
- Strong understanding of Workday modules, especially Core HR, Recruiting, Payroll, Time and Absence, Business Processes, Organizational Hierarchies and integrations security.
- Hands‑on experience developing Workday integrations (EIB, Core Connectors, Advanced Custom Reports and Document Transforms).
- Experience implementing and debugging Workday Studio integrations.
- Experience building integrations using Workday Web services and APIs (WSDL, SOAP, REST and WS standards).
- Experience with XML, XSLT, Workday Custom Reports and Workday Custom Objects.
- Experience supporting any integration failures in the production environment.
- Knowledge of Agile approaches to software development and ability to apply agile principles to deliver solutions incrementally.
- Ability to work independently and in a team‑oriented, collaborative environment.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to solve complex integration problems and determine the best solution using experience and technical knowledge.
- Contribution to the achievement of enterprise objectives through collaboration.
