Job summary

Bayer AG in Bengaluru seeks an experienced SAP APO/IBP Consultant to strengthen demand and supply planning capabilities for the CS Supply Chain team. You will work in a DevOps-style setup to roll out enterprise planning solutions globally.

You will design, configure, test, and deploy planning solutions, while coordinating with cross-functional teams and ensuring data integrity across ECC/S4 interfaces. Strong stakeholder communication is essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years hands-on SAP APO configuration (DP, SNP, PP/DS) or SAP IBP experience (Demand, Supply, Inventory, S&OP).
• At least 2 full lifecycle APO/IBP implementations.

POSITION PURPOSE:

We are expanding our team to work in DevOps mode to continue to support, enhance and roll out the Demand and Supply planning Capabilities for the CS Supply Chain team.

YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Work closely with Supply Chain, Manufacturing, and Analytical teams to understand business processes and planning requirements.
• Collaborate with the Bayer Business Network to develop and support enterprise planning solutions that reduce operating costs and improve supply chain performance.
• Lead the design, configuration, testing, training, and deployment of Planning Solutions.
• Provide production support for global planning and manufacturing operations.
• Configure and maintain master data: BOMs, resources, location-product, classifications, and batch-related structures.
• Develop and maintain interfaces between Planning and ECC/S4 systems.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives and enhance planning capabilities across global manufacturing sites.
• Create Functional Design Specifications and detailed documentation to support custom enhancements, BI/Analytics, and performance improvements.
• Partner with cross functional teams, and Operations teams to resolve technical and process issues.
• Troubleshoot integration issues between Planning and ECC/S4 systems.
• Identify process improvement opportunities using new functionalities and optimization methods.

WHO YOU ARE:

• Minimum 8 years hands-on SAP APO configuration experience (DP, SNP, PP/DS) or SAP IBP experience (Demand, Supply, Inventory, S&OP).
• At least 2 full lifecycle APO and/or IBP implementations.
• Expertise in APO functionalities such as statistical forecasting, SNP heuristics/optimization, PP/DS detailed scheduling, supply heuristics, and inventory optimization.
• Strong understanding of master data, including BOMs, resources, PDS/PPM, classifications, and material/batch structures.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with ability to collaborate with business stakeholders and leadership.
• Demonstrated ability to translate business requirements into functional designs and determine feasibility of SAP-standard vs. custom solutions.
• Solid understanding of integration points across ECC/S4 modules (MM, PP, SD, FI/CO).
• Ability to write detailed functional specifications for planning algorithms, enhancements, CIF integrations, and operational reporting.
