Bayer CropScience Limited in Bengaluru, India, invites a seasoned SAP APO/IBP specialist to lead global planning initiatives. You will design, configure, test, train, and deploy planning solutions across Supply Chain, Manufacturing, and Analytics teams.
You will own master data, develop interfaces with ECC/S4, and drive continuous improvements, while translating complex business needs into robust functional designs and scalable solutions.
Work closely with Supply Chain, Manufacturing, and Analytical teams to understand business processes and planning requirements.
Lead the design, configuration, testing, training, and deployment of Planning Solutions.
Provide production support for global planning and manufacturing operations.
Configure and maintain master data: BOMs, resources, location-product, classifications, and batch-related structures.
Develop and maintain interfaces between Planning and ECC/S4 systems.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives and enhance planning capabilities across global manufacturing sites.
Create Functional Design Specifications and detailed documentation to support custom enhancements, BI/Analytics, and performance improvements.
Partner with cross functional teams, and Operations teams to resolve technical and process issues.
Troubleshoot integration issues between Planning and ECC/S4 systems.
Identify process improvement opportunities using new functionalities and optimization methods.
Minimum 8 years hands-on SAP APO configuration experience (DP, SNP, PP/DS) or SAP IBP experience (Demand, Supply, Inventory, S&OP).
At least 2 full lifecycle APO and/or IBP implementations.
Expertise in APO functionalities such as statistical forecasting, SNP heuristics/optimization, PP/DS detailed scheduling, supply heuristics, and inventory optimization.
Strong understanding of master data, including BOMs, resources, PDS/PPM, classifications, and material/batch structures.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with ability to collaborate with business stakeholders and leadership.
Demonstrated ability to translate business requirements into functional designs and determine feasibility of SAP-standard vs. custom solutions.
Solid understanding of integration points across ECC/S4 modules (MM, PP, SD, FI/CO).
Ability to write detailed functional specifications for planning algorithms, enhancements, CIF integrations, and operational reporting.
