About the Team and the Role

The LCNC Solutions team at Ather is responsible for building and running full-stack applications using low-code platforms and modern web technologies to support seamless business operations.

This role is for a hands-on Software Engineer who will own large-scale Mendix applications, lead front‑end and back‑end integration, and establish quality standards across the full application lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Focus on UI/UX implementation and frontend features using Node.js, JavaScript, and Mendix Studio Pro while managing backend microflows, REST/SOAP APIs, and custom Java actions.
• Take full ownership of Mendix applications to ensure 99.9% uptime and manage the complete application lifecycle, front‑end user experience, and back‑end architecture.
• Design and implement scalable microservices architectures, domain models, and reusable components built on the Mendix low‑code platform.
• Define and enforce architectural best practices, coding standards, and code review workflows focused on performance, security, and scalability.
• Establish standards for test‑driven and behavior‑driven development (TDD/BDD) alongside automated testing frameworks within Mendix environments.
• Bridge the gap between UI/UX wireframes and technical execution to deliver responsive, high‑performing web and mobile interfaces.
• Collaborate closely with product managers, software architects, business analysts, and stakeholders to translate requirements into technical specifications.
• Mentor team members on Mendix platform guidelines and certifications while enforcing modern software patterns and continuous improvement.

Experience and Qualifications

Must Have Competencies

• Designing and managing Mendix application architectures, domain models, and platform environments including Mendix Studio Pro and Atlas UI.
• Independent application lifecycle maintenance, frontend UI/UX implementation, and full‑stack component development.
• Proficiency in JavaScript, Node.js, and Java programming for building custom Mendix actions and frontend integration.
• Holding active Mendix Developer certifications (Intermediate / Advanced level) demonstrating platform mastery and optimization skills.

Good to Have Competencies

• Backend development techniques and custom API integration using REST and SOAP protocols.
• Delivering software projects using Agile methodologies such as Scrum, XP, or SAFe.
• Implementation of test‑driven and behavior‑driven development (TDD/BDD) practices across modern software frameworks.
• Working knowledge of cloud technologies and deployment environments on AWS or Google Cloud Platform.
