Ather Energy is seeking a hands-on Senior Full Stack Engineer to own large-scale applications, lead system design, and set engineering standards within the Charging Infra Team in Bengaluru. Qualifications

• BS/MS in Computer Science or related field
• 3–5 years hands-on full-stack software development

• Lead end-to-end technical delivery for high-throughput full-stack services.

About the Team and the Role:

The Charging Infra team at Ather is responsible for building and running the software platforms behind Ather's charging network, with a focus on scalability, reliability and a seamless charging experience for riders.

This role is for a hands-on Senior Full Stack Engineer who will own large-scale applications built on a microservices architecture, lead system design, and set the engineering standards the team builds against. You will be a key individual contributor, driving technical excellence through direct coding, design reviews and close collaboration with the product team.

Responsibilities:

• Lead end-to-end technical delivery for critical capabilities and fundamental platform architectures across high-throughput full-stack services utilizing Node.js, Java, and modern web software technologies.
• Guide system design evaluations for resilient microservice architectures, authoring reusable full-stack modules aligned with core product objectives.
• Take ownership of live services to guarantee 99.9% availability, integrating robust monitoring, logging, and trace instrumentation for sustained operational health.
• Define and champion engineering standards alongside peer review workflows, prioritizing system efficiency, security, scalability, and long-term maintainability.
• Drive adoption of test-driven and behavior-driven methodologies while establishing comprehensive automated quality assurance suites for engineering initiatives.
• Partner closely with product leads, analysts, and cross-functional partners to translate functional roadmaps into robust technical specifications and execution strategies.
• Formulate accurate implementation timelines, ensuring seamless execution through consistent check-ins, proactive risk mitigation, and resolving engineering hurdles.
• Mentor team members, advocate for clean code practices, and promote the continuous integration of modern software patterns and emerging technology platforms.

Experience and Qualifications:

• Bachelors or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Engineering
• 3 to 5 years of hands‑on expertise building full‑stack software solutions, with demonstrated end‑to‑end responsibility for mission‑critical web platforms deployed in production environments.

Must have Competencies:

• Expert-level programming in JavaScript/Node.js and Java, with hands‑on experience building full‑stack web applications on modern frontend and backend frameworks.
• Designing, building and operating scalable microservices architectures on AWS or Google Cloud.
• Test-driven and behaviour-driven development (TDD/BDD) and automated testing frameworks.
• Application observability for high-availability systems: telemetry, logging and distributed tracing.

Good to have Competencies:

• Working experience with Agile methodologies such as Scrum.
• Automation methodologies, including CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation.
