Job summary

Proofpoint is seeking an experienced Performance Test Engineer to design, develop, and execute functional and performance tests ensuring scalability, reliability, and security across cloud environments. You will collaborate with DevOps, architecture, and development teams to optimize performance and implement CI/CD integration.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in performance testing, strong coding skills in Python or Node.js, and hands-on cloud experience (AWS/GCP/Azure).

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in functional performance testing or solutions performance engineering.
• Strong programming experience in Python or Node.js.
• 2+ years of hands‑on experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.
• Proven ability to debug, troubleshoot, and identify performance issues across distributed systems.
• Working knowledge of GitHub, Docker, and container‑based environments.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automation tools.
• Strong technical documentation skills, including architecture documents, test plans, and solution designs.
• Good understanding of data security and privacy principles.

Responsibilities
