Job summary

Growww Tech in Visakhapatnam is seeking a proficient Shopify/web developer to design, build, and maintain Shopify themes using Liquid, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, with the ability to extend storefronts headlessly.

You will build Shopify apps and custom APIs, contribute to Flutter or React Native apps, and collaborate with designers and clients to deliver polished, production-ready solutions. Strong AI tool experience and mentoring skills are required.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years of professional software development experience with Shopify or web development.
• Proficiency in Liquid, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Experience with Shopify theme customization, Shopify CLI, and Storefront API.
• Working knowledge of PHP, Python, or Node.js.
• Demonstrated use of at least one AI development tool in a professional workflow.
• Familiarity with mobile development using Flutter or React Native.
• Strong RESTful APIs, JSON, and third-party integrations.
• Proficiency with Git and collaborative version control practices.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy Shopify themes and storefront solutions using Liquid, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Build and integrate Shopify apps, custom APIs, and third-party services.
• Contribute to Android and/or iOS development using Flutter or React Native.
• Utilize AI developer tools to accelerate development and improve code quality.
• Lead small feature implementations independently and mentor juniors.
• Conduct code reviews, enforce coding standards, and suggest architectural improvements.
• Collaborate with designers and clients to translate requirements into production-ready products.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex bugs across web and app projects.
• Stay current with Shopify platform updates, API changes, and emerging practices.

• Payment gateway and Shiprocket integrations, where COD and RTO make the edge cases genuinely interesting.
• Flutter and React Native builds when a brand outgrows its mobile site.
• Headless Next.js storefronts, and the Shopify apps that sit behind them.

What you actually work on

What we need from you

• 2-3 years of professional software development experience, with a focus on Shopify or web development.
• Proficiency in Liquid (Shopify templating), HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Experience with Shopify theme customization, Shopify CLI, and the Storefront API.
• Working knowledge of at least one backend language: PHP, Python, or Node.js.
• Demonstrated use of at least one AI development tool (GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Codeium, Claude, Windsurf) in a professional workflow — this is a mandatory requirement.
• Familiarity with mobile development using Flutter or React Native.
• Solid understanding of RESTful APIs, JSON, and third-party integrations.
• Proficiency with Git and collaborative version control practices.
• Strong debugging, testing, and performance optimization skills.

Good to have

• Experience with Shopify Plus and B2B or enterprise-level store builds.
• Knowledge of headless commerce architectures (Hydrogen/Oxygen).
• Familiarity with cloud services (AWS, GCP, or Firebase).
• Experience managing or mentoring junior developers.
• A strong portfolio of shipped Shopify stores or apps.
