Job summary

Maropost is seeking a Software Engineer (Full-Stack – Node.js) to join the backend-focused team. You will develop and architect the search and merchandising as a service, work with PostgreSQL as the main database, and contribute to frontend components using Vue.js.

The role involves collaborating across teams in an Agile setting to deliver scalable ecommerce solutions. You will design APIs (REST/GraphQL), integrate with ML/NLP engines, and help evolve the platform architecture while mentoring

Qualifications

• B.E./B.Tech degree required.
• 3+ years of software development experience.
• Hands-on full-stack development with Node.js is a must.
• Experience in frontend with Vue.js and backend collaboration.
• Experience with REST and GraphQL APIs.
• Understanding of scalable system architecture and agile practices.
• Fluent English for technical discussions.

Responsibilities

• Design and write maintainable, readable, and elegant code; refactor and re-architect as needed.
• Contribute to technical specs and collaborate on architecture decisions.

As aSoftware Engineer (Full-Stack– Node.JS), focusing primarily on the backend on our team,you'llbe working with other engineers to further develop and architect our search and merchandizing as a service product.

The TypeScript backendis responsible forseveral microservices, from managing the product configuration to integration with various platforms. The main database is PostgreSQL, and we also use cool tech such as Apache Pulsar. On the frontend we have our main back-office dashboard written in vue.js and we develop andmaintainintegrations for our customer's e-commerce stores as a react based SDK and, more recently, also packaged natively for specific platforms such as Shopify.

We’rean empowered product team,firmly committedto collaborative problem solving. We write specs and share the decision-making. We work in two-week sprints to deliver greatness.

Whatyou'llbe responsible for:

• Design and write maintainable, readable, and elegant code; refactor and re-architect existing software where needed.
• Contribute to technical and product specs, collaborating on architecture and design decisions.

• 3+ years of total work experience in software development.
• Hands-on full-stack development experience with Node.js isa must.
• Experience in frontend development using Vue.js along with backend development, with the ability to collaborate with frontend teams and make UI changes whenrequired.
• Appreciate well-designed APIs (we use both REST &GraphQL).
• Build and manage a REST API stack forMaropostWebApps.Buildand manage a REST API stack forMaropostWeb Apps
• Given the architecture strategy related to our big data, analytics and cloud native product vision, work on the concrete architecture design and, whennecessaryprototype it
• Understanding of systems architecture and ability to design scalable, performance-driven solutions.
• Drive innovation within the engineering team,identifyingopportunities to improve processes, tools, and technologies
• Drive the architecture and design governance for systems and products under scope, as well as code and design reviews.
• Technical leadership of the development team and ensuring that they follow industry-standard best practices
• Evaluating and improving the tools and frameworks used in software development
• Design, develop and architect complex web applications
• Integrate with ML and NLP engines.
• Good understanding ofAgile methodologiesand software development practices.
• Are fluent in English for both technical and non-technical discussion
