Job summary

NIQ is seeking a passionate software engineer to build high-quality web applications as part of an Agile front-end team. You will work with JavaScript/TypeScript, modern frameworks, and RESTful APIs, focusing on maintainable code and automated tests.

You will collaborate with Product Owners, Designers, and engineers, participate in code reviews, and deliver incremental value through CI/CD. Experience with NX monorepos and SPA architectures is a plus.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of web development experience using JavaScript/TypeScript technologies (Angular, React, Node.js).
• Experience working with NX monorepos.
• Experience building Single Page Applications (SPAs).
• Good understanding of HTML, CSS, and CSS preprocessors such as LESS or SASS.
• Experience consuming and developing RESTful APIs.
• Understanding of CI/CD practices and automated testing.
• Experience with End-to-End testing using Playwright or Cypress.
• Experience with unit testing frameworks such as Jasmine, Karma, Jest, or similar tools.
• Familiarity with version control systems such as GitHub, GitLab, or Bitbucket.
• Understanding of software design principles, including SOLID principles and common design patterns.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain modern web applications as part of a front-end engineering team.
• Collaborate with team members to implement scalable and maintainable solutions aligned with the overall system architecture.
• Deliver high-quality software within agreed timelines.
• Write unit and integration tests and contribute to improving test coverage.
• Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve application defects and performance issues.
• Participate in code reviews and incorporate feedback to continuously improve code quality.
• Contribute ideas for improving engineering practices, team efficiency, and product quality.
• Actively participate in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, estimation, reviews, and retrospectives.
• Work closely with Product Owners, Designers, and fellow engineers to deliver customer-focused solutions.

You have solid experience in modern web development and are comfortable working with design patterns, object-oriented programming, functional programming principles, and automated testing. You enjoy collaborating with other engineers, learning from feedback, and continuously improving your technical skills.

You are accustomed to working in Agile teams, delivering incremental value through continuous integration and delivery practices. You take pride in writing secure, maintainable, and well-tested code and have a good understanding of the environments in which your applications run.

• Understanding of enterprise-scale web applications.
• Familiarity with micro-frontend architectures.
• Exposure to modern application architecture patterns and distributed systems concepts.
