Job summary
NielsenIQ seeks a senior data and operations leader in Vadodara to drive high-quality data initiatives. You will collaborate with local, regional, and global partners to ensure standardized processes and operational excellence within production environments.

Qualifications
- Master’s degree in mathematics, Engineering, Statistics, Product/Platform owner, or a related quantitative discipline with IT.
- English fluency for executive communication and stakeholder interactions.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and data interpretation capabilities.
- Experience coaching and mentoring teams in a matrixed organization.
- Ability to manage multiple workstreams and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Proven presentation and storytelling skills for senior leadership.
- Familiarity with process improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma).
- Experience with data analysis tools and programming languages like SQL, R, and Python.
Responsibilities
- Serve as senior SME and escalation point for complex technical/operational issues, partnering with Operations leadership.
- Own stakeholder management during incidents and exceptions, guiding communication across business, client, and tech teams.
- Provide strategic oversight of operational communication with executive-level project updates and risk mitigation.
- Design and optimize end-to-end operational processes with robust documentation and version control.
- Identify automation opportunities, scalability improvements, and efficiency gains through analytical thinking.
- Lead QA for market setups across regions ensuring data integrity and readiness for client delivery.
- Act as a connector across departments, driving collaboration in a matrixed structure.
- Champion standardization and process transformation initiatives across methodologies and tools.
- Provide leadership for deployment and optimization of the Consumer Information Platform (CIP).
- Define and monitor operational KPIs, translating insights into improvements in delivery, data accuracy, and discipline.
- Mentor junior team members in a virtual, multicultural, distributed environment.
- Oversee User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for new capabilities and production transition.

- Strong capability to coach, mentor, and train teams, effectively explaining technical and methodological concepts to diverse audiences, including non-technical stakeholders
- Demonstrated organizational and prioritization skills, with the ability to manage multiple workstreams and competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Good presentation and storytelling skills, capable of conveying insights, risks, and recommendations clearly to senior leadership
- Deep understanding and hands-on experience with process improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma, continuous improvement frameworks)
- Solid project management expertise, including accurate scoping, dependency management, risk assessment, and proactive stakeholder expectation management
- Strong analytical thinking and quantitative skills, with experience working with data analysis tools and programming languages such as SQL, R, and Python
- Exposure to or working knowledge of SQL/R/Python, with the ability to guide teams in applying these tools effectively for data validation, automation, and analysis
- Proven ability to operate successfully in a global, matrixed, and virtual working environment, influencing without authority and driving alignment across teams
