Job summary

Datability Solutions Pvt Ltd in India is seeking a Backend Engineer who thrives on learning and contributing to scalable systems. You will design, ship, and own backend services powering high-traffic apps using Node.js/TypeScript, and with Go/Python as needed.

You will collaborate with product, frontend, and DevOps to turn ambiguous problems into reliable, performant systems, design and optimize MySQL schemas, and operate containerised apps with Docker and Kubernetes.

We’re looking for a Backend Engineer who thrives on learning and contributing to existing systems that scale. You’ll design, ship, and learn to own the backend services that power high-traffic applications — working with modern cloud-native tech and a high-ownership engineering culture.

You’ll collaborate closely with product, frontend, DevOps, and stakeholders to turn ambiguous problems into reliable, performant systems.

What You’ll Do

Design and build scalable backend services and APIs using Node.js / TypeScript , with solid working knowledge of Golang and/or Python

Own microservices and distributed systems that handle real production load

Design and optimize MySQL schemas, queries, and data access patterns

Learn on the job to ship and operate containerised applications with Docker and Kubernetes. Prior knowledge is a plus.

Have the opportunity to build event-driven architectures using Kafka and/or RabbitMQ . Prior knowledge is a plus.

Contribute to technical design discussions, architecture reviews, and system planning

Write clean, well-tested, maintainable code and raise the bar through reviews

Debug production issues and lead root-cause analysis

Contribute to reliability, security, observability, and operational excellence

Mentor engineers and help shape a strong engineering culture

What You Bring

Core Engineering Strength

Strong fundamentals in OOP, design patterns and command over node JS.

Deep understanding of concurrency and async programming.

Solid grasp of networking, HTTP, caching, and API design

Comfortable with testing strategies (unit, integration, e2e) and debugging complex systems

Experience with Agile and the full software development lifecycle

Primary Stack

Working knowledge of Golang and/or Python is a plus

Solid MySQL experience (schema design, query optimization, indexing)

Experience building and consuming REST APIs and microservices
