NielsenIQ in India’s Tamil Nadu seeks a Software Engineer with 4–6 years of Python experience to help design and optimize data pipelines on Snowflake and cloud platforms.

You will build batch, real-time, and AI-enabled data solutions, manage Snowflake objects, and contribute to CI/CD and DevSecOps practices while mentoring junior engineers.

Qualifications

• 4–6 years of data engineering experience.
• Proficient in Python and SQL.
• Hands-on Snowflake administration and performance tuning.
• Experience with cloud platforms (Azure/AWS/GCP).
• Knowledge of data warehousing concepts (Kimball, Data Vault).
• CI/CD, Git, and infrastructure as code practices.
• Familiarity with AI/GenAI technologies is a plus.

As a Software Engineer, you’ll be part of a team of smart, highly skilled technologists who are passionate about learning and supporting cutting-edge technologies such as Snowflake Tasks, Streams, Pipes (Snowpipe), External Tables, components:Azure: Blob Storage, ADLS, Functions, ADF, Purview.

• Design, develop, and optimize scalable ETL/ELT pipelines using Python, SQL, and Snowflake.
• Build and maintain batch, real-time, and event-driven data processing solutions on cloud platforms.
• Architect and manage Snowflake objects including warehouses, schemas, RBAC, Tasks, Streams, and Snowpipe.
• Develop enterprise data warehouse solutions, data marts, and dimensional data models.
• Design and deploy AI/GenAI solutions leveraging modern data platforms and business requirements.
• Implement CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code (Terraform/Bicep), and DevSecOps best practices.
• Ensure data quality, monitoring, lineage, performance optimization, and mentor junior engineers
  • 4–6 years of experience in Data Engineering with strong expertise in Python and SQL.
  • Hands-on experience with Snowflake including performance tuning, data modeling, and administration.
  • Strong knowledge of cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or GCP and cloud-native data services.
  • Experience building scalable ETL/ELT pipelines, CDC/SCD frameworks, and orchestration workflows.
  • Solid understanding of Data Warehousing, Dimensional Modeling, Kimball, and Data Vault concepts.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines, Git, Terraform/Bicep, and DevSecOps security practices.
  • Exposure to AI/GenAI technologies, data quality frameworks, and automated testing tools.
  • Strong communication, stakeholder management, and collaboration skills with mentoring experience
