Job summary

NielsenIQ is seeking an experienced Data & BI Engineer (7-9 years) to design and deliver scalable data solutions using SQL Server, Azure Data Factory, and Power BI. You will build ETL pipelines, optimize databases, and deliver BI solutions that empower data-driven decisions.

You will develop and maintain data warehouses and dimensional models, create Power BI dashboards, monitor pipelines, and collaborate with stakeholders.

Qualifications

• 7-9 years of experience across Data Engineering, Data Warehousing, and Business Intelligence.
• Strong hands-on experience with: SQL Server, Azure Data Factory (ADF), Power BI, Azure Data Lake Storage Gen2.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and optimize SQL Server databases, procedures, views, functions, and ETL processes.
• Develop and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines using Azure Data Factory (ADF).
• Perform data validation, reconciliation, and quality checks to ensure data accuracy.
• Optimize query performance, indexing, partitioning, and data processing workloads.
• Build and support Data Warehouse and dimensional data models.
• Develop Power BI datasets, reports, dashboards, and KPIs using DAX and Power Query.
• Monitor and troubleshoot ADF pipelines, SQL jobs, and Power BI refreshes.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand reporting and analytics requirements.
• Participate in code reviews, deployment activities, and DevOps processes.
