Job summary

Jones Lang LaSalle (JLL) is seeking a Software Engineer II - Full Stack to join our Bengaluru team. The role focuses on building a modern cloud-based analytics platform for CRE, delivering scalable analytics and near real-time insights for workplace and real estate teams.

You will work on frontend features with React/TypeScript, build backend services with Java/Spring Boot or Kotlin, and collaborate across product, design, and engineering to ship impactful user experiences.

Qualifications

• BA/BS Degree in Computer Science or related technical discipline.
• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Strong frontend development experience with React/TypeScript.
• Experience building backend systems in Java with Spring Boot or Kotlin.
• Understanding of REST APIs, microservices, and distributed systems.
• Hands-on experience with AI coding tools like Cursor or Claude.
• Solid knowledge of data structures, algorithms and software design principles.

Responsibilities

• Build and deliver high-quality product features with emphasis on modern frontend development.
• Develop scalable web applications using React, TypeScript, or similar frameworks.

Software Engineer II - Full Stack (5+ Years)

Our team builds and operates a modern cloud-based analytics platform for Commercial Real Estate (CRE) organizations. The platform delivers scalable, high-performance analytics that transform complex operational data into actionable insights for workplace and real estate teams. Designed for rapid deployment, strong data governance, and enterprise-grade security, the platform integrates data from multiple enterprise systems and provides near real-time visibility into business operations. Responsibilities

• Build and deliver high-quality product features with a strong emphasis on modern frontend development
• Develop scalable web applications using React, TypeScript, or similar modern frameworks
• Build backend services and APIs using Java, Spring Boot, or Kotlin
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers to design and ship high-impact user experiences
• Work in an AI-first engineering environment, where tools such as Cursor, Claude, and other AI coding assistants are used extensively as part of the development workflow
• Design and implement agent-driven workflows that improve product capabilities and engineering productivity
• Build internal tools and developer experience (DX) agents to automate engineering tasks and accelerate development
• Participate in technical design discussions and contribute to architecture decisions
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code while following engineering best practices
• Continuously improve development velocity by adopting AI-assisted development and automation practices

Qualifications

• Basic Qualifications
• BA/BS Degree in Computer Science or related technical discipline, or equivalent practical experience
• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience
• Strong experience in frontend development using React, TypeScript, or similar frameworks
• Experience building backend systems using Java with Spring Boot or Kotlin
• Understanding of REST APIs, microservices architecture, and distributed systems
• Hands-on experience using AI coding tools such as Cursor, Claude, or similar platforms
• Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, and software design principles

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience building AI-powered applications or LLM-based workflows
• Familiarity with agent-based architectures or autonomous software systems
• Experience building developer productivity tools or internal platforms
• Knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure
• Strong debugging, problem-solving, and system design skills
