Job summary

CME Group is seeking a Software Engineer I to contribute to secure, scalable technology solutions with mentoring. The role targets 1-3 years of Fintech experience in a full-stack environment (React/Angular with Java) and requires SQL and basic database modelling knowledge.

The candidate will engage in coding, unit testing, and design implementation, while working on production issues on a rotating basis.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years in Fintech/product/platform industries in Full stack ( React / angular with Java )
• Frontend and backend development using Java, React/Angular, and SQL.

Responsibilities

• Develop and unit test modules; participate in code reviews with mentor.
• Write SQL and basic database modelling; implement designs from managers.
• Optimise code with supervision and assist in environment deployments.
• Be ready to work on production issues on a rotational basis.

Experience

1-3 years in Fintech/product/platform industries in Full stack ( React / angular with Java )

Skill

• Java API/ SQL Backend development experience
• UI - Angular / react exp - must
• Cloud knowledge - preferred GCP

Principal Accountabilities

• Conducts coding at sprint level potentially minimal design in POD model
• Conducts unit testing of own code. Reviews unit tests with mentor.
• Exhibits basic proficiency in language knowledge; Writes application modules and unit tests with guidance.
• Exhibits knowledge of SQL and basic database modelling.
• Implements designs received from managers or immediate supervisors.
• optimises code with supervision. Applies learning from prior code reviews and helps with environment build deployments. Corrects identified defects and issues.
• Willing to work in production issues on rotational basis
