Job summary

Qualys in Pune is seeking a Software Engineer to join a fast-paced team building a scalable SaaS security platform. You will prototype, design, develop, and support microservice-based applications using Java and Spring Boot, with a focus on performance and reliability.

You will work with cloud providers (AWS/Azure/GCP/OCI), apply data structures and NoSQL (Cassandra/Elasticsearch), Redis/Memcached, and CI/CD tools like Jenkins and Kubernetes. 2+ years of experience and a CS degree are preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2+ years of professional experience developing Java applications.
• Strong knowledge of Spring Boot and microservices architecture.
• Experience with relational and NoSQL databases, preferably Cassandra/Elasticsearch.

Responsibilities

• Research, prototype and develop cloud-native solutions across public clouds.
• Design and implement scalable, high-performance microservice-based apps.
• Write unit and integration tests and document code and designs.

Research and develop cloud native solutions across available public clouds e.g. AWS, AZURE, GCP, OCI etc. Design and implement distributed, scalable, high-performance micro service-based applications Produce high-quality software with a scalable architecture and design principles Write unit/integration tests for your code Document your code, design and provide solutions **Requisite Qualifications** Strong problem solving, analytical and communication skills Excellent programming and designing skills in Java with minimum 2+ years of professional experience developing applications using Spring Boot / micro-services. Good understanding of relational databases and/or NoSQL DB, preferably Cassandra, Elasticsearch Professional experience working on indexing technology like Elastic Search and caching technologies like Redis or Memcached Good understanding of data structures and algorithms, application design. Professional experience developing software using micro services oriented architecture. **Preferred Qualifications** Hands on knowledge of public cloud providers like AWS/Azure/GCP/OCI Bachelor or Masters degree in Computer Science Professional experience with Jenkins, and Kubernetes Experience working on compliance, audit, governance, risk management, or regulatory compliance products is an added advantage.
