Job summary

Addepar is seeking a Software Engineer to join the LOA team in Pune. You will help build a self-service onboarding system for held-away accounts, on an cloud-native, scalable framework.

You will work with a team of engineers to design, implement, and roll out systems that power Addepar's growth and global expansion. Applicants must have 3+ years of backend experience, strong Java skills, and familiarity with relational and non-relational datastores.

The Role

We are currently seeking a Software Engineer to join our Letter of Authorisation(LOA) team! We’re building a system that can self-service onboarding of held-away accounts for enterprise clients. This new system will be built on our application framework with cloud-native architecture principles. As a member of the team you will be within a team of talented engineers and will design, implement, and roll out systems instrumental in Addepar's growth and global expansion.

Applicants must have legal authorization to work in the country where this role is based on the first day of employment. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.

What You’ll Do

• Coding & Development: Write high-quality, efficient, and well-tested code, adhering to established coding standards and best practices.
• Feature Design: Contribute to the design of scalable, robust, and maintainable software systems
• Design & Architecture: Establish strong understanding of the architectural patterns and aligning the new changes to the architectural patterns agreed.
• Backend Development: Work across the software development lifecycle, with a heavy emphasis on back-end and database components.
• Code Reviews: Participate in thorough code reviews to ensure quality, identify potential issues, and share knowledge.
• Technical Problem Solving: Tackle complex technical challenges and provide innovative solutions.
• Performance Optimization: Help identify and address performance bottlenecks to ensure applications are fast and efficient.
• DevOps Practices: Understanding of the CI/CD pipeline and monitoring practices.

Who You Are

• 3+ years of backend software engineering experience
• Strong experience in object-oriented languages such as Java
• Solid experience with relational and non-relational datastores
• Familiarity in CI/CD, monitoring, and logging systems
• Expertise in any of the above technical requirements is a huge plus!
• Experience with any public cloud but AWS highly preferred.
