Job summary

Valuelabs is seeking a seasoned SQL Server DBA to manage enterprise databases and automate daily admin tasks in a scalable environment.

You will design and operate HA/DR solutions, perform performance tuning, upgrades, and secure SQL Server deployments while working with cloud platforms and scripting to streamline operations.

Qualifications

• Excellent knowledge in SQL Server database administration.
• Excellent knowledge in automating SQLServer DB admin routine tasks like provisioning, patching and upgrades.
• Excellent knowledge in High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) options for SQL Server.
• Good knowledge in designing & developing HA solutions like Always-on AGs, Distributed AGs, replication, and mirroring.
• Excellent knowledge in SQL Server cluster administration.
• Excellent knowledge in Performance Tuning and Optimization.
• Excellent knowledge in Query tuning and using tools like Query Store and Profiles.
• Good knowledge of MSSQL features (SQL 2019 & higher).
• Excellent knowledge in SQL Server upgrade (in-place with AG, DAG & Windows failover cluster).
• Excellent knowledge in Security features like Auditing, TLS, etc.
• Excellent knowledge in backups, restores and recovery models.
• Excellent knowledge in Database migration.
• Good knowledge hosting SQLServer Database Clusters in Cloud Platforms (OCI, AWS and Azure).
• Good knowledge of SQL and/or PL/SQL or PowerShell.
• Good knowledge of Unix/Linux/Windows operating systems.
• Desirable Good knowledge of scripting (Bash, Python).

Responsibilities
