Qualifications

• Bachelor's in Engineering or equivalent with strong leadership experience in software teams.
• 5+ years as a tech leader/engineering manager and 15+ years total experience.
• Proven experience managing teams and delivering high-quality projects on time.
• Deep understanding of scalable architectures and modern backend tech.
• Strong collaboration with product teams and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Hire, build, lead, develop and coach teams of top technical talent.
• Drive strategy and vision in collaboration with Product.
• Manage diverse stakeholders and drive project execution including business, product, ops, and clients/vendors.
• Build scalable and reliable technology solutions at a rapid pace.
• Facilitate discussions and lead engineering decisions.
• Define, implement and maintain engineering plans for owned areas.
• Drive engineering best practices for the team.
• Ensure product and process hygiene for owned areas.

They are responsibleforbuilding high-performing teams where each team member feels the impact of their work. EMs also set the directionforthe teamand support people in their career growth. They ensure that the teams haveaninspiring visionforthe future. The teams work on a spectrum of products which power Arrise. EMs provide technical leadership to identifyand define the right component/system abstractions/capabilitiesforcurrent/future product/platform asks. One of the key responsibilities ofanEM is to understand business goalsand contribute to product strategyand take accountabilityformoving key business metrics. They are also responsiblefordriving execution using agile methodologies by removing impediments along the way with the big picture in mind.

What you will need -

• B.E/B.Tech orany other similar qualification with experience as a tech leaderand engineering managerforat least 5+ yearsand 15+ years total experience
• Experience of managing teamsand delivering high-quality projects on time
• Experience with building, developingand coaching teams of best technical talent in the Industry
• Experience with managing diverse teamsand delivering high-quality projects on time
• Deep understanding of technologyand architecture in a highly scalableand available setup
• Experience with new open source technologiesand their adoption into product development etc.
• Prior development experience in Core Java Programmingand related backend Java Frameworks like Spring
• Has good idea of messagingand/or streaming platforms like RabbitMQ, Kafka etc.
• Good at problem solving skills
• Must be comfortable with thread-safe code in java. Knowledge on advanced concurrency concepts that involve lockless operations is a definite plus.
• Knowledge on design patterns
• Firm believer in TDD (Test Driven Development)
• Experience with new open source technologiesand their adoption into product
• Strong experience in working on highly scalable systems
• Self-driven, responsible,and keen eye to details
• Strong collaboratorand has skills to participate/guide technical discussions

As a Engineering Manager, you will be responsible to-
