Job summary

Amazon's Risk Management Team is seeking a Software Development Engineer to design, enhance and maintain mission critical systems at internet scale, leveraging cloud services and Gen AI to drive innovation.

You will work on microservices for risk evaluation, participate in on-call rotations, and help reduce time and cost of risk assessments while maintaining reliability for millions of customers worldwide.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of non-internship design or architecture experience (design patterns, reliability and scaling).
• 3+ years of full software development life cycle experience (coding standards, code reviews, source control, build, testing, operations).

The Core Services team owns the charter of evaluating bad actor risk of all kinds (Buyer, Seller, Brand, Vendor) across entities such as Orders, Returns, Sign-ins, Listings and any event that will be useful to evaluate risky behavior. We build self-service capabilities to experiment and launch new use cases while making it easy to on-board and manage existing ones all over the world. We are the gate keepers of customer trust by preventing bad actors from doing damage to good customers or scamming Amazon. The problems we solve will challenge the best in terms of scale (100s of billion evaluations) and latency (think milliseconds) while operating at the lowest cost

As the Software Development Engineer, you will design, enhance and maintain mission critical systems leveraging best of breed technologies with AI first mindset. Basic Qualifications

• - 5+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience

• - 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
