Job summary

Techdome is seeking a Software Development Engineer for MERN Stack to join a multi-product environment in Hyderabad. You will own features end-to-end, collaborating directly with Product and Design to deliver customer-facing and internal applications across healthcare, fintech, and HRTech domains.

You will build responsive React frontends, and secure backend services with Node.js and Express.js, designing REST APIs, and integrating data stores like MongoDB, PostgreSQL, or MySQL.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience as a Full Stack Developer or similar role.
• Experience with Next.js and TypeScript.
• Hands-on experience with MongoDB, PostgreSQL, or MySQL.
• Solid REST API design, Git workflows, and SDLC practices.
• Experience with debugging, deployment, and production support.

Software Development Engineer - MERN Stack

About the Role

Most engineering roles hand you one product and a ticket queue. This one doesn't.

At Techdome, you'll work across four live, revenue-generating products — an AI-powered recruitment platform, a healthcare management portal, a stock trading & investment platform, and fintech payments infrastructure. You won't be buried in a large engineering org. You'll own features end-to-end, work directly with Product and Design, and ship things real users depend on — across domains most engineers spend years trying to break into.

What You Will Do

• Own features end-to-end — from scoping and system design through development, testing, deployment, and iteration.
• Build responsive frontends in React.js and secure, scalable backend services in Node.js and Express.js.
• Design REST APIs, backend services, and third-party integrations, with authentication and authorization handled properly (JWT, OAuth 2.0, RBAC).
• Model and query data across MongoDB, PostgreSQL, or MySQL, and work with Next.js and TypeScript on the frontend.
• Get exposure across all four product lines — payment flows, healthcare workflows, trading features, and AI-driven recruitment tooling — instead of staying boxed into one domain.
• Participate in architecture discussions, sprint planning, code reviews, and release cycles.
• Troubleshoot production issues, optimize performance, and own your features through to production support.
• Use AI-assisted development tools (Claude, Copilot, Cursor) as a real part of your daily workflow — not a side experiment.

What You Bring

• 2+ years of experience as a Full Stack Developer, Software Engineer, or Product Engineer.
• Working experience with Next.js and TypeScript.
• Hands-on experience with MongoDB, PostgreSQL, or MySQL.
• Solid grasp of REST API design, Git workflows, Agile/SDLC practices, and secure application development.
• Practical experience with debugging, deployment, and production support.

What Will Set You Apart

• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• CI/CD pipeline experience and comfort with microservices architecture.
• Exposure to Redis, Kafka, or RabbitMQ for caching, queuing, or real-time data.
• System design chops and a track record of performance optimization.
• Infrastructure as Code (Terraform) and application security awareness.
• Exposure to LLMs, RAG, LangChain, AI agents, prompt engineering, MCP servers, or vector databases.
