What success looks like in this role: SDET with a minimum of 5 years of experience in manual and automation testing, Java, AWS Cloud, databases, and REST APIs. Responsible for ensuring application quality through effective test planning, automation, and collaboration with development teams.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in QA and test automation.


• Strong programming skills in Core Java and experience with automation frameworks.


• Hands-on experience in API automation using RestAssured, TestNG, and Maven.


• Experience in UI automation using Selenium.


• Design test plans, analyze requirements, and create, execute, and maintain test cases.


• Perform manual, functional, integration, regression, and API testing.


• Validate cloud-native application workflows using AWS services, including S3, DynamoDB, SNS, SQS, and AWS Glue.


• Use Postman for API testing, debugging, and validation.


• Perform database testing and data validation using SQL, PostgreSQL, and SQL Server.


• Validate search results using Elasticsearch/OpenSearch and Bool Queries.


• Manage automation code using Git and integrate test suites into CI/CD pipelines.


• Maintain test cases, test suites, test runs, execution results, and defect records using test management tools.


• Analyze test failures, perform root cause analysis, and collaborate with developers to resolve defects.


• Track defects and testing activities using Jira and other test management tools.


• Participate in code reviews, sprint planning, release planning, and product review meetings.


• Demonstrate strong analytical, communication, and collaboration skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Defines test plans in one or more areas such as Manual, Automation or Performance testing . Defines testing quality standards, guidelines, and testing methodologies for the team. Assists in the release planning.


• Owns specific modules and may lead a sub team on a test deliverable.


• Understands the quality framework defined for the product.


• Reviews and updates test plans and maintains the Quality Management System.


• Proactively identifies scope for automation. Ensures test coverage, productivity and quality benchmarks are met.


• Ensures the effective adoption and utilization of testing tools.


• Ensures the review of test artifacts and tracks to closure.


• Involved in product review meetings.


• Coordinates the development, updating, and maintenance of testing standards and procedures.


• Reviews the test, validation, and pilot results to make sure they meet the entry and exit criteria.


• Familiar with Performance testing tools and methodology and supports the implementation of Testing Lifecycle Management best practices and automation.

Key Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with at least 5 years of relevant QA experience, or equivalent experience.


• Strong knowledge of Java, manual testing, and automation frameworks.


• Proficiency in RestAssured, TestNG, Maven, Selenium, and Postman.


• Working knowledge of AWS services, SQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, and Elasticsearch/OpenSearch.


• Experience with Git, CI/CD pipelines, Jira, and test management tools.


• Understanding of quality assurance methodologies, defect lifecycle, and software development lifecycle.


• Good analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and teamwork skills.

You will be successful in this role if you have: BA/BS degree and 5-8 years’ relevant experience OR equivalent combination of education and experience
