Job summary

HealthEdge in Bengaluru is seeking a Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) to collaborate with the automation architect and QA engineers. You will evaluate and extend the automation framework, build new test frameworks, and design end-to-end automated regression tests for GUI Front End, API services, and database back-ends.

You will minimize manual testing by automating high-ROI test cases, participate in an Agile team, and ensure test coverage aligns with sprint deliverables.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of hands-on practical experience in developing web and API automation.
• Solid understanding of Quality Assurance methods and practices.
• Deep understanding of manual and automated testing concepts.
• Strong Object-Oriented Programming Skills.
• Must have strong debugging and troubleshooting skills.
• Experience testing web applications/web services using .NET, JAVA, ASP, C#, XML, Silverlight, etc.
• Good development experience in C# or other OOP language.
• Hands-on experience with modern test automation tools/frameworks (Selenium, Cucumber, Cypress).
• Service testing with SOAP and REST APIs.
• Strong analytical and communication skills with cross-functional teams.
• Experience with GitLab or similar source control.
• Experience with CI tools such as Jenkins, Git/Stash, Azure DevOps.
• Advanced SQL knowledge.
• Experience with UI testing frameworks (Selenium, Cypress).
• Experience with Agile testing methodologies including BDD and TDD.
• Exposure to cloud infrastructure.

• Developing, executing and maintaining automation test scripts to meet software release deliverables and testing requirements

• Recommending strategies and methods to improve test plans and test processes

We are looking for talented Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) who will work with an Automation Architect and QA engineers to evaluate existing automation framework, build new test frameworks, write, and design automation scripts from scratch, and maintain automated test scripts to ensure quality control standards are achieved. What you will do:

What you bring:

• 3+ years of recent hands-on practical experience in developing web and API automation
• Solid understanding of Quality Assurance methods and practices
• Deep understanding of manual and automated testing concepts
• Strong Object-Oriented Programming Skills
• Must have strong debugging and troubleshooting skills
• Good experience in testing web applications and web services developed using latest technologies: .NET, JAVA, ASP, C#, XML, Silverlight etc.
• Candidate should have good C# development experience or other OOP language
• Hands-on experience with a mix of modern Test Automation tools and frameworks, (e.g. Selenium, Cucumber, and Cypress, etc.)
• Service testing experience with Soap and Rest APIs
• Strong analytical and communication skills, ability to effectively work with both technical and non-technical resources
• Practical experience using source code control systems, especially GitLab

• Experience using Continuous Integration tools such as Jenkins Build Server, Git/Stash, Azure DevOps etc.
• Advanced SQL knowledge
• Experience with UI testing frameworks (i.e. Selenium, Cypress, etc.)
• Experience with Agile testing methodologies including BDD and Test-Driven Development (TDD)
