This role is critical for RCS's mission to scale compliance operations through technology, reduce manual processes, and enable Amazon's global expansion while maintaining regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities

• Innovate and Build: Collaborate with experienced cross-disciplinary Amazonians to conceive, design, and bring innovative compliance and risk management products and services to market
• Design at Scale: Design and build innovative technologies in a large distributed computing environment and help lead fundamental changes in the compliance technology industry
• Create Intelligent Solutions: Develop solutions to run predictions and analytics on distributed systems with exposure to innovative technologies at incredible scale and speed
• Build Robust Systems: Build distributed storage, index, and query systems that are scalable, fault‑tolerant, low cost, and easy to manage and use
• Solve Complex Problems: Design and code the right solutions starting with broadly defined compliance and risk management problems
• Deliver with Agility: Work in an agile environment to deliver high‑quality software that meets the evolving needs of compliance operations

Basic Qualifications

• 3+ years of non‑internship professional software development experience
• Experience programming with at least one software programming language (Java Python)
• Proven ability to design and implement scalable, distributed systems

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience
• Experience with compliance, risk management, or regulatory technology solutions
• Strong understanding of distributed systems, data processing, and cloud technologies
• Track record of delivering high‑impact projects in fast‑paced environments
• Excellent problem‑solving skills and ability to work with ambiguity

Basic Qualifications

• 3+ years of non‑internship professional software development experience
• Experience programming with at least one software programming language
• Knowledge of professional software engineering & best practices for full software development life cycle, including coding standards, software architectures, code reviews, source control management, continuous deployments, testing, and operational excellence

Preferred Qualifications

• 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
