Job summary

Balbix seeks an experienced Engineer to join our Bengaluru engineering team, leading backend feature development and collaborating with product and design teams to deliver high-quality software.

As a senior engineer you will drive architecture discussions, ensure scalable and secure services, and deploy on cloud platforms using containerized tech like Docker and Kubernetes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 3–5 years of professional software development experience building scalable backend systems.
• Experience designing RESTful APIs and microservices, plus cloud deployment.

Responsibilities

• Code Mastery: lead feature development with clean, maintainable backend code.
• Technical Contribution: participate in architecture decisions for scalable solutions.
• Code Review: perform thorough reviews to maintain quality.
• Cloud Integration: deploy and optimize on AWS, GCP, or Azure using AWS Lambda, API Gateway, EC2, S3, RDS, etc.
• Problem Solving: troubleshoot complex issues and implement fixes.
• Collaboration: align with product and design teams on objectives.

Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Engineer to join our engineering team. As a senior engineer, you will lead a high-performing engineering team working closely with our Design, Product, and other stakeholders to develop and deliver core product features that help in predicting and preventing cyber breaches.

Location: Bengaluru

Key Responsibilities:

• Code Mastery: Take charge of feature development, writing clean, efficient, and maintainable code that drives our product forward.




• Technical Contribution: Engage actively in architectural discussions, lending your expertise to implement scalable, secure, and high-performance solutions.




• Code Review: Conduct thorough code reviews to maintain code quality, identify opportunities for improvement, and share constructive feedback with team members.




• Cloud Integration: Leverage AWS services, including but not limited to AWS Lambda, API Gateway, EC2, S3, and RDS, to deploy and optimize cloud-based solutions.




• Problem Solving: Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues, identifying root causes and implementing effective solutions.




• Collaboration: Collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment between technical solutions and business objectives.




• Project Execution: Play a key role in project planning, execution, and timely delivery of features, ensuring adherence to project timelines and scope.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.


• 3–5 years of professional software development experience building scalable backend systems.


• Strong proficiency in Go, Python, or Node.js for backend development.


• Experience designing and building RESTful APIs and microservices architectures.


• Solid understanding of distributed systems concepts such as concurrency, caching, asynchronous processing, and fault tolerance.


• Hands‑on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure).


• Experience building and deploying applications in containerized environments (Docker / Kubernetes).


• Strong understanding of SQL and NoSQL databases and performance optimization techniques.


• Experience participating in system design discussions and architecture decisions.


• Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment with high ownership.


• Strong problem‑solving and debugging skills.
