Job summary

CSG Systems in Bengaluru, India seeks an experienced mainframe administrator to configure, upgrade and support tools such as ISPW. You will manage critical tooling, ensure high availability, and participate in on-call rotations.

The role requires strong JCL, SDSF, ISPF, COBOL, VSAM and CA7 skills, plus experience with TWS/OPC/IZWS, CI/CD automation, Jenkins, Azure DevOps, and scripting (Python, JavaScript, PowerShell).

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of administration, configuration, upgrades and support of mainframe development tools.
• Strong knowledge of JCL, SDSF, ISPF, CA7, TWS/OPC/IZWS, VSAM, Cobol, ISPW.
• Experience with APIs, scripting, DevOps and CI/CD practices.
• Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools.

Responsibilities

• Administer, configure, upgrade and support mainframe development tools (e.g., ISPW).
• Provide operational support for critical tooling platforms and ensure high availability.
• Participate in on-call rotations and support major infrastructure upgrades and migrations.
• Evaluate and pilot emerging technologies for mainframe modernization.

Job description

3-5 years of administration, configure, upgrade, and support mainframe development tools (like ISPW) and utilities experience. Provide operational support for critical tooling platforms and ensure high availability. Strong knowledge of JCL, SDSF, ISPF, CA7, TWS/OPC/IZWS, VSAM, Cobol, ISPW Participate in on-call rotations and support major infrastructure upgrades and migrations. Evaluate and pilot emerging technologies for mainframe modernization. Implement solutions such as ZOWE, VS Code integrations, APIs, and developer productivity platforms. Enable the adoption of AI-assisted development tools such as Cursor, GitHub Copilot, Glean, and similar platforms. Support initiatives involving APIs, scripting, DevOps, and CI/CD practices. Build integrations between mainframe and distributed/open systems platforms. Proven experience in CI/CD design and automation (Jenkins, Azure Devops, Chef). Proficiency in scripting/programming (Python,JavaScript, and PowerShell). Identify opportunities to streamline workflows through AI and automation.
