Job summary

Finvasia is a global fintech company providing technology-driven financial services. We are hiring a Java Developer - Support to design, develop, and deliver high-volume, low-latency applications for mission-critical systems in our on-site Mohali office.

You will implement Java-based applications with Hibernate and Spring, troubleshoot production issues using logs, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ship new features while maintaining system performance and quality.

Qualifications

• Good working knowledge of Java, including understanding application flows, exceptions, and common runtime issues.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in L1/Application Technical Support, preferably supporting Java-based applications.
• Experience in basic debugging and troubleshooting using tools such as IntelliJ IDEA, Eclipse, or Visual Studio/VS Code.
• Good understanding of SQL and ability to write basic to intermediate queries for data validation and issue investigation.
• Experience in analyzing application, Tomcat, and server logs to identify errors and troubleshoot production issues.
• Basic exposure to AWS services and AWS logs, such as EC2, CloudWatch, load balancers, or related services.
• Understanding of REST APIs, HTTP status codes, and API troubleshooting would be preferred.
• Ability to perform initial incident analysis, issue categorization, and escalation to L2/L3 teams with relevant logs and findings.
• Familiarity with ticketing tools such as JIRA, or similar tools.
• Good communication skills and ability to coordinate with development, infrastructure, and other support teams.
