ABC Fitness is seeking a backend engineer to design and develop scalable Java services powering Connect / XLerate. You will design APIs, work with SQL, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ship reliable increments.

The role offers an opportunity to contribute to a customer-focused product with DevOps practices and modern testing. A hybrid work model is supported with growth through continuous learning and mentorship.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or relevant field exp. preferred
• 2+ years of experience building backend services with Java / JVM
• Experience designing and maintaining APIs and service-oriented backends
• Solid understanding of the practical application of agile development methods in an Agile/Lean/Continuous Delivery environment
• Knowledge of modern Quality and Testing principles
• Comfortable learning new technologies and systems
• Basic knowledge of code versioning tools – we have workflows in place, and you don’t need to be an expert, just open to learning

AND IT’S GREAT TO HAVE:

• Familiarity with Golang
• Working knowledge of SQL and relational databases
• Working knowledge of MongoDB
• Experience with messaging/queues or event-driven services
• Exposure to AWS or similar cloud platforms
• Interest in CRM or data-intensive product domains
• Knowledge of tooling around continuous deployment
