Job summary

OpenText, The Information Company, Bengaluru, is seeking a Software Developer to contribute to architecture, design, development, and deployment of an enterprise server protection product that supports on-premises and cloud workloads.

You will independently develop complex software, own deliverables, and participate in code reviews. Bring hands-on expertise in C/C++ and a passion for building reliable, scalable solutions in an Agile, TD environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or an equivalent discipline.
• Strong hands-on experience in C/C++ development.

Your Impact

As a Software Developer at OpenText, you will contribute to the architecture, design, development, and implementation of a large-scale, distributed enterprise server protection product. The product supports backup of both on-premises and cloud-based workloads. You will independently develop complex software, take ownership of code quality, and work closely with engineering teams to deliver reliable solutions. You will contribute to technical analysis, design, planning, and problem-solving while ensuring issues are identified and resolved in a timely manner.

Nice-to-Have Skills

• Exposure to Angular and scripting languages.
• Knowledge of socket programming and inter-process communication (IPC).
• Experience working with UNIX platforms such as Linux, Solaris, HP-UX, or AIX.
• Knowledge of enterprise backup and restore or data protection technologies.
• Exposure to virtualization technologies such as VMware or hypervisors.
• Knowledge of database technologies.
