Job summary

OpenText in Hyderabad is seeking a Cloud Applications Engineer to design, build, and support scalable cloud solutions on AWS and GCP. You will monitor, automate, troubleshoot, and manage production and non-production environments, with emphasis on reliability and incident resolution.

You'll work with Terraform, Kubernetes, Docker, CI/CD, and various monitoring tools, collaborating with cross-functional teams to improve availability, performance, and security, while following ITIL-driven

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
• 3–5 years in Cloud Applications/Platforms.
• Knowledge of Linux and Java application support.
• DevOps tools: Terraform, GitLab, CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with Terraform for Kubernetes clusters (GKE).
• Experience with BOSH for deploying Cloud Foundry.
• Expertise in Docker and Kubernetes deployments.
• Hands-on with AWS and GCP cloud platforms.
• Familiarity with Load Balancers/F5, Firewalls, SMTP, DNS, networking protocols.
• Experience with monitoring tools (JIRA, HP OM, New Relic, Dynatrace, Zabbix, etc.).
• Understanding of ITIL processes.
• Knowledge of middleware/webservers (Tomcat, Apache, JBoss).
• Scripting skills (Shell, Python, or similar).
• Experience with centralized logging tools (ELK, Graylog, Splunk).
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills.
• Self-motivated with excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

Your Impact

As a Cloud Applications Engineer, you will design, build, and support solutions to improve the availability, performance, and stability of OpenText services. You will automate repetitive processes, respond to alerts, troubleshoot complex issues, and manage both non-production and production environments. Your work will include monitoring, configuration management, disaster recovery planning, capacity engineering, and platform automation—primarily on AWS and GCP.

This role will begin with Operations Center responsibilities—monitoring solutions, taking proactive actions, and coordinating deployments—and grow into advanced problem-solving and troubleshooting across multiple solutions.

What the Role Offers

• End-to-end ownership of incident resolution and SLA adherence.
• Infrastructure setup, CI/CD, deployment, monitoring, maintenance, and operations across multiple environments.
• Application enhancements and ongoing maintenance.

• Weekend availability for scheduled maintenance and deployments.
