Job summary

UST is seeking a Tester III - Embedded Testing in Bengaluru to validate NFC components at the system level and develop automated tests to characterize performance. You will work with RF tools, oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and various test equipment in a collaborative environment.

The role requires Bachelor’s or Master’s in Electronics Engineering or Computer Science, strong analytical and debugging abilities, and knowledge of wireless tech like Bluetooth, Wi‑Fi, NFC, Zigbee, plus secure

Responsibilities

• Validate and verify NFC components at system level as a Test engineer.
• Develop, execute, and automate tests to characterize system performance.
• Create test scripts per test plans.
• Participate in technical reviews and product evaluation.
• Debug and analyze issues with cross-functional teams to resolve.
• Operate lab equipment (oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, logic analyzers) and RF tools.

Education, Experience & Skills

Mandatory and Desirable Skills:

• Bachelors/master’s degree in Electronics Engineering or Computer Science
• Excellent analytical, problem solving, debugging skills & interpretation skills
• Basic knowledge of fundamental concepts in Wireless Communications and Connectivity domain like Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, NFC, Zigbee and secure payments.
• Experience with lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, logic analyzers, etc. is required
• Proficiency in in any one of the programming languages like C, C++, JAVA, Python or Perl is a must
• Desirable - Familiarity with Contact / contactless smart card protocols (ISO7816, ISO14443) and RFIDs.
• Smart card Operating Systems / Java Card OS understanding is a plus
• Desirable to have knowledge in embedded UICC
