Job summary

Quantbot is seeking a Java backend engineer in Bengaluru with 4+ years of hands-on experience building scalable services. You will design, develop and optimize backend modules, APIs and data models in a fast-paced, startup-like environment.

The role requires strong knowledge of data structures, algorithms, OOP, and modern Java frameworks such as Spring Boot, with experience in SOA/microservices and messaging systems. Collaboration across teams is essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4+ years of Java backend experience.
• Strong understanding of data structures and algorithms.
• Solid object-oriented programming and software design skills.
• Experience with SOA/Microservices/REST APIs and multi-tier Java EE/Spring Boot apps.
• Database design and SQL (MySQL/MariaDB).
• Experience with messaging systems like Kafka or RabbitMQ.
• Ability to drive discussions to improve product, process and technology.
• Provide end-to-end solution design and lead formalized methodologies.

Requirements

• Minimum of 4+ years in experience in Java Backend
• Strong understanding of data structures and algorithms
• Sound understanding of object-oriented programming and excellent software design skills
• Good experience of SOA/Microservices/Restful services and development of N-tier J2EE / Java Springboot applications (APIs)
• Strong understanding of database design and SQL (MySQL/MariaDB) development
• Should have experience in Apache Kafka, RabbitMQ, or other Queueing systems
• Drive discussions to create/improve the product, process, and technology
• Provide end to end solution and design details; lead development of formalized solution methodologies
