Job summary

Lenskart in Bengaluru seeks an experienced Java backend developer to design, build, test, deploy, and maintain scalable backend systems and services. You will own the SDLC from requirements to production deployment and collaborate with product, engineering, QA, and business teams.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years of hands-on Java backend experience, strong OOP, RESTful APIs, microservices with Java and Spring Boot, and hands-on with Kafka or RabbitMQ, MySQL/MariaDB, and CI/CD practices.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of hands-on Java backend development.
• Strong knowledge of OOP principles and design patterns.
• Experience developing RESTful APIs and microservices with Java and Spring Boot.
• Experience with SOA/microservices architecture and N-tier development.
• Good understanding of database design, SQL optimization with MySQL/MariaDB.
• Experience with messaging systems such as Kafka or RabbitMQ.
• Strong debugging, troubleshooting and performance optimization skills.
• Familiarity with Git and CI/CD practices.

Preferred candidate profile

• 3+ years of hands-on experience in Java backend development. Strong understanding of data structures and algorithms
• Excellent knowledge of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) principles and software design patterns
• Proven experience developing RESTful APIs and microservices using Java and Spring Boot
• Strong experience with SOA / microservices architecture and N-tier application development
• Good understanding of database design, SQL optimization, and development using MySQL / MariaDB
• Experience with messaging and queueing platforms such as Apache Kafka, RabbitMQ, or similar
• Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and performance-optimization skills.
• Familiarity with Git and CI/CD practices
