Job summary

IQVIA Bengaluru seeks a seasoned Software Asset Manager to lead licensing compliance, data analysis, and cost-saving efforts across enterprise software. You will manage SAM processes, support audits, and drive optimization for cloud and on-premise environments.

The role demands deep knowledge of Flexera/SNOW, ITAM/CMDB, and strong reporting skills to enable executive dashboards and strategic forecasting. Office-based in Bengaluru with collaboration across global teams.

Qualifications

• 9+ years of experience managing Flexera tools or similar SAM platforms.
• Understanding of software licensing models (Microsoft, Oracle, Adobe).
• Experience with ITAM, SAM, CMDB, and enterprise IT environments.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and hybrid infrastructure.
• Familiarity with FinOps and SaaS.

Responsibilities

• Verify licensing rules, purchase entitlement, and usage to generate compliance reports using tools like Flexera and SNOW.
• Support internal and external audits, ensuring license records are accurate and up to date.
• Identify and report to remediate unauthorized or unlicensed software.
• Collect and analyze data for budgeting, cost comparisons, cost avoidance, and savings opportunities.
• Assist in forecasting software spend by business unit and product tier.
• Document findings and follow through on cost-saving initiatives with business owners.
• Respond to requests for SAM data from end users, managers, and developers.
• Generate reports on software usage, license allocation, compliance status, and cost-saving opportunities.
• Maintain data in structured formats for dashboards and executive reporting.
• Build and maintain inventory, license, and usage tracking of licensed software across the enterprise.
