Job summary

Tata Consultancy Services is seeking a senior data engineer with deep Snowflake expertise to design and implement large-scale data warehouse/data lake solutions. You will own end-to-end data pipelines, optimize storage and performance, and ensure robust security and RBAC across cloud environments.

The role requires strong Python/PySpark skills, hands-on experience with AWS and Azure services, and familiarity with orchestration tools like Airflow to manage complex ETL/ELT workflows.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of IT development experience with min 5+ years hands-on Snowflake.
• Experience in building Daten warehouse/data lake and data marts end-to-end.
• Proven ability to build productionized data ingestion and pipelines in Snowflake.
• Strong knowledge of Snowflake architecture, Time Travel, and performance tuning.
• Experience with RBAC and data security within Snowflake.
• Hands-on with Python/PySpark and cloud services (AWS/Azure).
• Familiarity with orchestration tools like Airflow and ETL/ELT processes.

Role & responsibilities

Preferred candidate profile

• 10+ years of IT development experience with min 5+ years hands-on experience in Snowflake
• Strong experience in building/designing the data warehouse or data lake, and data mart end-to-end implementation experience focusing on large enterprise scale and Snowflake implementations on any of the hyper scalers.
• Strong experience with building productionized data ingestion and data pipelines in Snowflake
• Good knowledge of Snowflake's architecture, features likie Zero-Copy Cloning, Time Travel, and performance tuning capabilities
• Should have good exp on Snowflake RBAC and data security.
• Strong experience in Snowflake features including new snowflake features.
• Should have good experience in Python/Pyspark.
• Should have experience in AWS services (S3, Glue, Lambda, Secrete Manager, DMS) and few Azure services (Blob storage, ADLS, ADF)
• Should have experience/knowledge in orchestration and scheduling tools experience like Airflow

Should have good understanding on ETL or ELT processes and ETL tools.
