Job summary

Tata Consultancy Services in Mumbai is seeking a skilled database engineer to design, develop, and optimize PL/SQL and complex SQL for high-volume environments. You will drive performance improvements, data integrity, and security through tuning and best practices.

You will perform requirement analysis, data modeling, and support batch jobs and integrations using database-centric solutions, while collaborating in an SDLC framework and using JIRA for agile delivery and traceability.

Qualifications

• Experience designing and modeling data with Snowflake and data warehouses.
• Strong SQL/PL-SQL development and performance tuning.
• Familiarity with AWS, Terraform, and Python a plus.
• Experience with SDLC, agile tools like JIRA.

Role & responsibilities

• Design, develop, and optimize PL/SQL code and complex SQL for high/volume databases
• Ensure database performance, data integrity, and security through tuning and best practices
• Perform requirement and data anlaysis and perform Data Designing/modeling
• Support batch jobs, and integrations using database centric solutions
• Manage AWS environment, set up resources using Terraform
• Follow SDLC processes, including design, development, testing, deployment, and documentation
• Use JIRA for task tracking, defect management, and Agile collaboration

Preferred candidate profile

Must-Have Skills: Snowflake Designing, Data Analysis/Modeling/Designing, Data Warehouse, ETL concepts

Good-to-Have Skills: AWS, Terraform, Python
